a thought came crashing to me yesterday.
we, humans, are the cause of our own deaths in this age.
i'm saying this in reference to the article in the new paper yesterday.
the one about road kills in m'sia.
one line stated something like 200,000 people (or was it 20,000)
were killed last yr in road accidents.
and the report mentioned that most of the accidents occured
because of the driver/rider's own carelessness.
in other words, these people themselves put their life at risk.
driving at ridiculous speeds, and not following proper road regulations.
obviously, the goverment or people in charge who came up
with these regulations and road rules must have a reason for them.
like why you can't over take, why you should slow down,
why you shouldn't travel beyond a specific speed limit and etc.
the reason so being that these people wants to have safe roads.
however, personally, i feel disgusted and pissed when i hear about these
freakish road accidents involving selfish road users who thinks
the roads are made just for them and hence they can just do anything,
as and when they feel and want to. and because of these people,
other innocent road-users, who are not at fault, will end up in the same fate,
or at times even worst. i, for myself, am a motorist and is at risk of these situation,
and so this explains the worry and the writing of this particular post.
so for all the road users, be it current or in the future, do think twice, or thrice even,
when all of u wanna beat the amber light or the blinking green arrow,
or when u wanna speed or overtake when situation doesn't permit to.
cause u dun wanna be one of the millions who lost their lives for being reckless on
the roads. and also, not to mention, no one wants to lose a loved one.

on a lighter note, its the long awaited weekend now, after the first wk of attachments.
my goodness, i so deserve my good rest over the weekend.
so much for learning soooooo many things back in sch and in CPTC.
but i ended up doing deskjob for the company.
like filing documents, printing here and there, and scanning things.
the usual office things. my goodness. what happened to pipes, valves, pumps etc ????????
SO much for being a chemical student. BLEARGHHHH.
the best part of the week was that i had to photocopy a pump's operating manual.
the catch? it contained over 80+ pages not to mention the other documents like the
dampener and the MSDS sheets for the lubricants.
how great can that get? oh wells.
lets see what the second week will have in store for me.
and i wonder how the backside boys are doing. hmmmmmmmm.
-
for now, i guess i'll just unwind for the weekend with the nyonya.
my sweetest addiction. =)
