helloe fellow readers of my blog-the little numbers of u.
after being away for 2 wks, i'm back home.
and apparently, the body've yet to adjust to the differing time.
its only 7pm in london! boohoo!
and i had to go through 5 different time zones.
firstly -5hrs in bahrain,
then -6hrs in cairo,
then -8hrs in london,
then -7hrs in paris,
then -8hrs again in london,
and now back to sunny island singapore!
-
travelling is great!
minus the hassle of getting on planes, immigrations, checks etc.
ouh and do take note: for anyone travelling in the future,
i personally feel that its best to avoid travelling on Gulfair.
its damn sucky lah. delay this, delay that.
and the leg room is freaking small lah.
can become claustrophobic sak. urghh.
-
and so like the malay saying goes:
jauh perjalanan, luas pemandangan.
(faraway journey, vast sight)
ok go figure!
-
so many things that's wanted to be typed out for the journey!!
but its virtually impossible to do so!
the sights, the sounds, the experience.
it was just unbelievable! too bad it had to end. boo!!
lets let the pictures do the talking from now on!
so brace urself for a picture filled post from here on.
-
thanks to Gulfair, we missed our connecting flight,
from Bahrain to Cairo. so we got stay overnight for free in Bahrain!
Bahrain is one stinking rich country!!
the currency is even stronger than pound sterling!
1UKPoundSterling = 0.7BahrainDinar.
So dinner ther cost us only 1Dinar.
it looked cheap but the value is huge!!
so we had Hardee's(same as Carl's Jr but halal!) for dinner.
ouh and to add to Bahrain's rich-country status,
i easily spotted those posh cars like porshe and chrysler on the streets.
i was even amazed when i saw a corvette! theres none in singapore!

-
we reached Cairo the following day,
and boy i tell u, the atmosphere is just totally way off.
the place is rather erm, not in a forward country condition.
theres no traffic lights on the roads!!
its amazing how the cars manouvere(correct or not ha?) themselves.
theres onli u-turns and roundabouts to guide them along the road.
they still use donkeys as transportation.
and outside of the place we stayed, theres a super oldschool bike!
its from the 1940's the owner said.

-
so whats gg to Cairo, without visiting ze pyramids of Giza right?
we drove up and got the perfect sight of the 3 pyramids lined together.
enjoy!
-
-
-
the sphinx wanted to get a nose like MJ. instead he got this.
-
its damn humongous lah.
amazing how they managed to built it. *in awe*
-
ni gbr cam cool ah.
-
we visited Alexandria for a night,
the place where ze lovely late sister studied.
here's Al-Azhar University campus for the female.
I love u JaMok.
-
this one is especially for the nyonya!
-
on the last day of the stay in Cairo,
we visited Fayoum, which is some desert place.
the interesting part is that in the middle of the super vast desert,
it contains a HUGE lake, smacked right in the middle of it.
and there's also a waterfall, of which the water will flow to the lake.
its truly an amazing sight.

-
-
all of us, including the grandparents as such,
somehow turned into kids at the sight of the sand dunes.
so everyone stepped out and had a photographing session.
the desert is so real, its exactly what we see in those documentaries.
nice!

-

and that wraps up the Cairo leg of the visit.
need to get some rest.
will update again for the Europetrip!
